Le Bouchot is an old standalone farm, located on the municipality of Pierrefitte sur sauldre, a very lovely and flowered village in the midst of Sologne.
This farm is mentioned on the first geometrical map of the kingdom of France made by Cassini, upon request from Louis XV, between 1757 and 1815. Le Bouchot was, for a time, a rest place for the herds of sheep from Sologne on the move.
The buildings are in typical Sologne style with woods, bricks and cob. They are organized around a square yard in which grow flowers and trees. In summer, vegetables and aromatic herbs grow in the middle of flowers and wild herbs.
